Auction Quilt Flimsy

Hello everyone! I've got my flimsy finished for the auction quilt I'm making. I guess I should come up with a better name for it, right?

It is 60" square. I still need to find a backing fabric for it. I'm thinking some type of blue or gray print. And then I think I'll do a scrappy binding with the left over print fabrics from the front.

What would you use for a back?

  1. I love it! There is already so much blue/aqua, I think I would pull from the orange to back it with! (Or pink can you ever go wrong with pink LOL)

  2. This is gorgeous! Is that a navy blue in there? I think I would do a navy on the back, but you are right a lighter color hides the machine quilting better. I need to stick close to you and learn a few things...he he hee

  3. Karen - I LOVE this quilt! Can you tell us the block size (HST) and the fabric requirements! I agree - it would be a good leader/ender project! Thanks!!

    1. I don't have the fabric requirements as I used a bunch of different fat quarters, but the quilt is 60" square and each finished HST or square is 5" x 5". The quilt is 12 rows of 12 squares/HSTs.
